| Donald F. Kirk, 78, of Carroll Twp., Shermans Dale, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at The Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield. |
| He was a self employed painting contractor; a member of the Shermans Dale Senior Citizens' Center; a former member of the Lisburn Fire Police and had played softball for the Lisburn Fire Company's softball team. Mr. Kirk was a former coach for the Red Land Little League Baseball Assn. and loved dirt track racing, fishing, hunting and camping as well as being a Penn State Nittany Lion football, Philadelphia. Eagles football and Phillies baseball fan. He was born October 17, 1931, in East Waterford, the son of the late Clair A. and Helen M. (Whitebread) Kirk. |
| Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Faye E. (Fritz) Kirk; three sons, Clifford E. (Patricia) of New Cumberland, Donald L. Sr. and Keith A., both of Etters; a daughter, Sharon A. Godshall (Wayne) of Shermans Dale; two brothers, Bruce of Port Royal and Gary of Mifflintown; three sisters, Betty Love of Port Royal, Audrey Hunker and Norma Leach, both of Mifflintown; seven grandchildren, Donald Jr., Allen, David, Suzanne, Amy, Brandon and Jesse; six great grandchildren, Bryon, Austin A., Tilar, Austin M., Brianna and Zakery. |
| Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Jeff Brewster officiating. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Fairview Twp. Viewing will be held 6 – 8 PM Monday in the funeral home. |
