Bernard V. Kelly Jr.
March 5, 2010

Bernard V. “Bernie” Kelly Jr., 45, of Hampden Twp., died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Township after a courageous battle with cancer.

 Bernie was a Senior Corporate Trust Officer for Fulton Financial Advisors, Lancaster. Previous to that, he worked as a Senior VP of Corporate Trust for M & T Bank, formerly known as Dauphin Deposit Bank and Trust Company, for more than 20 years. He was a member of the graduating class of 1982 of Cedar Cliff High School, New Cumberland, and a graduate of Millersville University and St. Joseph’s University, where he earned an MBA.

Bernie was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and an avid cyclist. Most importantly, he was a dedicated husband, father and son.

Born on June 19, 1964, he was the son of Ann M. (Maynard) Kelly of Lemoyne and the late Bernard V. Kelly, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven and Patrick Kelly.

In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Michele A. (Hammaker) Kelly; a son, Ryan P. and three daughters, Elise M., Erin N. and Meredith L., all at home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Per Bernie’s request, please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bernard Kelly Children’s Educational Fund, c/o Fulton Bank, P.O. Box 1189, 200 N. Third St., Harrisburg, PA 17108, attention Michelle Crone.
