Jean Zumbrun Korkuch, 82, of New Cumberland, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill.
She was born on June 3, 1927 in York to the late Harry E. and Sadie (Kohr) Zumbrun.
A graduate of the former William Penn High School, York and the former Shippensburg State Teachers College, she taught business classes at the former New Cumberland High School, West Shore School District, Harrisburg School District, and Camp Hill High School.
She was very active with the Shippensburg University General Alumni Assn. She and her husband were presented the Alumni Distinguished Service Award. She was a member of the West Shore Chapter, PA Assn. of School Retirees.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bridge, and vacationing in Ocean City, NJ.
She is survived by her husband Francis; a son, Francis J. “Skip”, Jr. of West Chester and his wife Janet; three daughters, Nancy J. Randall of Lititz and her husband Mark, Kathryn A. Boudeman of Danville and her husband William, and Patricia L. Kipp of Cary, NC and her husband Stephen; a brother Henry A. Zumbrun of York; sister, Sara E. Paul of York; and nine grandchildren.
Viewing will be at 10am Friday followed by funeral services at 11am at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
