Rachael C. Keane, 99, of Camp Hill died Thursday April 1, 2010 in Manor Care Camp Hill.
She was a former Kindergarten teacher at the Catherine Sweeny Day School, Harrisburg; a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg and attended West Chester State Teachers College. She also worked summers at the playground teaching basket weaving. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting and playing Bridge.
Mrs. Keane was born in Harrisburg to the late Charles F. and Elizabeth (Olson) Crabbe. She was the widow of Albert M. Keane to whom she was married for over 60 years and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Keane.
She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor “Betsy” Aumiller and husband John of Waukasha, WI and Charlotte A. Bonafair of Camp Hill; two sons, A. Mark Keane, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Marietta, PA and James C. Keane of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday April 9, 2010 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be one hour prior to services Friday in the funeral home.
