Donald E. Edmondson, 62, of Hampden Twp., Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

He was a retired engineer for U.G.I., Harrisburg. Mr. Edmondson was a 1965 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School and he enjoyed traveling, including several trips to Ireland and a cross country motorcycle trip to California by way of Route 66.

Born in Harrisburg on September 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Edward and Stella (Hoch) Edmondson. He was the widow of Theresa Condon Edmondson and was also preceded in death by two step sons, Patrick Robertson and Brian Robertson.

Surviving are his daughter, Laura M. Foulkrod of Harrisburg; a brother, Ronald Edmondson of Maine; a step brother and a step sister; a granddaughter, Devin M. Foulkrod and three step granddaughters, Theresa Berry, Jessica Robertson and Jasmine Robertson; several step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Daphne S. Messersmith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
