Violet H. Ellenberger, 83, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at home.

She was a retired tax examiner for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Revenue.

Born in Honey Grove, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Blanche C. (Telfer) Henry. She was the widow of Earl R. Ellenberger.

Surviving are a son, Barrie L. Ellenberger of York Haven; three daughters, Eileen E. Osberg of Glenwood, IL, Serla E. Ross of Camp Hill, and Trudy E. Merrill of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Roxie Kauffman and Gladys Snyder, both of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 7 PM Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Monday in the funeral home.
