Doris C. Biery, 83, formerly of New Cumberland and more recently of Church of God Home, Carlisle, died Tuesday July 13, 2010 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a retired science teacher for the West Shore School District at Lemoyne Middle School. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland and the Embroiderers’ Guild of America.

Doris was born in Harrisburg to the late Roy and Helen (Achenbach) Clements and was the widow of F. Paul Biery, Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Frederick P. Biery, III and wife Sally (Stoecker) of Washington, D.C. and Thomas Roy Biery and wife Marcie D. of Laurel, MD; a brother John Clements of Camp Hill; and three grandchildren, Megan, Daniel and Carolyn Biery.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday July 20, 2010 in her church, 530 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070 with the Rev. Elaine M. Dent, her pastor officiating.  Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
