Barbara W. Patterson

Barbara W. Patterson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, 83, of Harrisburg, formerly of Paxtang died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home.

A longtime member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, she was a member of Colonial Country Club for 53 years. She was Past President of the Ladies 18 Holers; Representative for the Central PA Women’s Golf Assn and a Representative to Harrisburg District Golf Assn.; Long Time Committee Chair, Rally for a Cure Golf Tournament.

She was born June 17, 1934 in New Cumberland to the late Gilbert Melvin and Edith Rebecca (Miller) Winter. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and brother Donald.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kaye Patterson of Harrisburg and Cynthia Patterson Whitman (Tod) of Harrisburg; six siblings, Ronald Winter of New Cumberland, Joline Tucker of Camp Hill, Kaye Stewart of New Cumberland, Mary Cashman of Mechanicsburg, Alan and Michael Kumpf of New Cumberland; and two grandchildren, Elsie Whitman and her Fiancé Brandon Ebeling of Arlington, VA and Erin Whitman of Harrisburg.

Viewings will be from 5-7pm Sunday and 10am until the funeral service at 11am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
