Jeanette E. Razga

February 19, 1922 — May 26, 2017

Jeanette E. (Stewart) Razga, age 95, was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of May 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1922 in Mount Carmel, raised in Johnstown, then settled in the Harrisburg/New Cumberland area during the 1950’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Mary Ellen (Maher) Stewart; husband, Frank S. Razga; son, Francis C. Razga; twin brother, Robert Stewart; brothers, Vincent Egan, Harold Davis, Milton and Charles Stewart; sisters, Josephine Stewart and Florence Burnheimer.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Shannon (Razga) White and husband Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Zoey Frances; sister, Marie Bobak; daughter-in-law, Jamie Razga; great-niece, Raquel Greene and son, Garrett; niece Robin Smith and husband Tim, their children; niece, Lauren Rodgers and her family; godchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

During WWII, she worked at a munitions plant making bullets. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but also worked for Town & Country Distributors and Ames Department Store, Camp Hill.

She was known for her generosity, kindness, love, strength, laugh, fighting spirit, and devotion to her faith. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church in New Cumberland. She had a love for all things U.S. Navy, Johnstown, and the Steelers. Her door was always open for company and there was nothing she enjoyed more than a good gab session over coffee and her baked goods. She enjoyed music and dancing, attending classic rock concerts, and WWE Smackdowns. But what she loved most was the time she spent with her family.

Jeanette was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother, and friend. Although having only one child of her own, whom she adored and one granddaughter, whom she doted on, she was the matriarch of the family, a mother figure to many nieces and nephews offering much love and support over the years, for which they are eternally grateful. She is a family treasure and will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel I. Dubois as Celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.

Viewing will be held 9:30 – 10 AM on Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
