Louis G. Preun

Louis G. Preun, of Camp Hill, died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hopsice Residence, Harrisburg. Son of the late Theodore L. and Florence G. (Van Hyde) Preun, he was born in Harrisburg on September 27, 1934.

Louis retired as an expediter for the Harrisburg Post Office after 30+ years of service; he was also a Korean War veteran, serving in the Navy. He was a member of Eberly’s Mill Church of God, Camp Hill; VFW Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp.; American Legion Post 974, Fairview Twp.; the U.S.S. Yorktown Association; and the Postal Employees Gun Club. Louis was also an avid Nittany Lion fan throughout his 83 years.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Stambaugh Preun; a brother, Theodore; and a sister, Ruth Jarrett. Surviving are two sons, Scott A. of San Francisco, and Mark L. of Camp Hill; and a grandson, Tyler.

A visitation will take place from 5-7PM, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, on Wednesday, April 18; a memorial service will directly follow. The next morning, Thursday, April 19, burial will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation (arthritis.org), 4811 Jonestown Rd #230, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
