Romaine E. Volpe

Romaine E. Volpe, 89, of New Cumberland, has gone to walk with her Saviour in her Heavenly Garden on June 28, 2016.

She was a retired sales associate for Sears Roebuck & Co., Camp Hill; a graduate of Camp Hill High School, Class of 1945; and an active member of Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. She loved her cats, enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and small vegetable garden, found great pleasure in feeding the birds and the squirrels and was an avid embroiderer.

Romaine was born in Harrisburg to the late Truman and Ruth (Idle) Donicker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis L. Volpe and her daughter Janet L. (Dick) Miller.

She is survived by a son in law Ron Miller of Duncannon; her longtime friend Alma Neidigh of Harrisburg; neighbors Joanne and David Bradley of New Cumberland; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with her Pastor, Rev. Marcy H. Nicholas officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
