Thomas M. Noppenberger

Thomas M. Noppenberger, 81, of Camp Hill died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 15, 2017.

He courageously fought pancreatic cancer for 9 months. He will be greatly missed and always remembered for love of his family, kindness to others, knowledge of many things and fixer of all.
A USAF Veteran, he was a retired Civil Engineer for the Federal Highway Administration and PA Turnpike Comm. During his career, he worked on the Blue Ridge Parkway and PA Interstate system. He was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland, YMCA LiveSTRONG, Tau Beta Pi (Engineering honor society), GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group), and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). He was a former member of Harrisburg Bicycle Club, Roundtop Ski Development Club and Harrisburg Canoe Club. He was a lover of the outdoors and volunteered for the Boy Scouts and Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jan (Johnson) Noppenberger; two daughters, Theresa Fowler (Neil) of Mechanicsburg, and Denise Bauer (Ralf) of Bedford; two sons, Mark (Trudi) of Lebanon and Keith (Mija) of Peotone, IL; two sisters, Mary Davis (Jake) and Betty Jo Boyer (Bob); a brother, Butch (Mimi); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Tuesday (9/19) at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Private interment will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday (9/18) at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
