Travel Security Plan

Today, more than ever before, we are constantly on the go, traveling far and wide for both business and pleasure. Despite our frequent travel, we rarely consider what might happen if we were to die while away from home. It happens more often than you might think.

Who would handle the transportation and funeral arrangements? How would we take care of the paperwork…and the cost?

For your complete peace of mind, Parthemore offers a comprehensive Travel Security Plan. With our Travel Security Plan, if you die while away from home, whether in a neighboring state or halfway around the world, your family is completely relieved of the stress of having to make arrangements long-distance. Regardless of when it occurs, we will be there to handle all necessary arrangements including preparation, transportation and paperwork.

Our Travel Security Plan can complement your pre-need arrangements or may be purchased separately. The investment is nominal and the service lasts a lifetime. Contact Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services for more details - we’ll be glad to explain all your options and answer any of your questions - with no obligation.

U.S. Transportation Security Administration Partner

Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services is a U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Partner. Parthemore will assist air travelers who must transport cremated remains by providing temporary transportation containers and the transfer of the cremated remains into a permanent cremation urn at no cost.

The special transportation containers enable X-ray machines to view the contents and ensure proper security screening. As Steve Parthemore, President of Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services explains, “Many cremation urns are made out of metal, marble or other materials that do not allow X-ray screening devices to view the contents. With all the new security measures, people were having trouble getting through the screening process when they were transporting cremation urns. We’re proud to be one of the funeral homes across the country that are partnering with TSA to help solve the problem.”

TSA established the Funeral Home Partner program after its change in policy deemed that documentation from a funeral home was no longer sufficient to take a cremation urn through security and onto a plane. Security screeners are not allowed to open the containers to confirm the contents under any circumstances, out of respect for the deceased. The regulations apply to both carry on and checked baggage.

Through this program, air passengers can obtain a “security friendly” transportation container from a participating funeral home. Once they reach their destination, another partner funeral home will transfer the remains to a permanent container.
