Every year, the readers of Harrisburg Magazine vote for their favorite in categories including area businesses, services, destinations and many other areas. In August, the magazine announced that Parthemore Funeral Home had once again been voted Simply the Best Funeral Home. This is the fifth year in a row that the Parthemores have been honored.

The cover of the Order of the Golden Rule’s  special 80th anniversary edition of The Independent Magazine featured a familiar face—our own Steve Parthemore.  Steve was picked to represent the edition’s theme, “It’s Members that Matter.”  The Parthemores have been a member of the OGR for the last decade.

OGR is a professional association that stands at the forefront of the funeral profession to address the concerns and needs of the independent, family-owned and locally-owned funeral home. Members lead their businesses with care, compassion and dignity and the cornerstone philosophy of the association, “Service measured not by gold, but by the Golden Rule.”
