Ada M. (Brackbill) Smith

July 8, 1931 — April 9, 2022

Don’t walk in front of me, I can’t follow
Don’t walk behind me, I can’t lead
Just walk beside me and be my friend.

Ada Marie (Brackbill) Smith, 90, of Camp Hill, Lower Allen Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

Ada enjoyed being with her family for beach vacations and family get togethers.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Dawn M. Smith; a brother, William E. Brackbill; and two sisters, Elizabeth G. Minnich and Mildred N. Gray.

Ada was a 1949 graduate of the former Lemoyne High School where she was active in school clubs and the HS band pep squad. After graduation, she held many clerical positions for local business – she was a bookkeeper, accounting assistant and office manager until 2006.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shiremanstown, in memory of Ada. Additional options would be Penn State Health Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House, both in Hershey. You may also donate to a charity of your choice.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
But by the moments that take our breath away.
Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal
Love leaves a memory that no one can steal.
