Albert William Heinz

Albert William (A.W. / Bill) Heinz, 90, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Lemoyne, PA and Westfield, NJ, died Monday, February 19th, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore, Mechanicsburg.

Bill graduated from Brown University with a degree in Economics, and he retired as Branch Manager for IBM. A.W. was a long-time member, and past President, of the Country Club of Harrisburg. He served as West Shore School Board President in the late 70s and was a board member of both the YMCA, Hbg., and HACC. Bill was also a member, and former Treasurer, of the beautiful and scenic Boulder Brook Club, Center Lovell, Maine, where he will be greatly missed.

Born on October 21, 1927, he was the son of late Albert and Margaret B. (Hummel) Heinz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. (Lewis) Heinz; daughter, Marjory Lynn; and son, Mark William. He was also predeceased by his brother, Barton R. Heinz.

Surviving are his daughters, Wendy J. (Heinz) Bechtel, and Catharine A. Heinz; a grandson, Michael C. Bechtel; a granddaughter, Toni Marie Bechtel; another grandson, Mark W. Foster; and a great-grandson, Dominic M. Foster.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 23rd at 11:00AM, with a noon prayer service following, at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

A private burial will take place in Maine at the convenience of the family.
