The Lord is merciful to those who love Him. On February 28, 2013, the Lord in His mercy called Ann M Bell, age 90, of New Cumberland to His kingdom. Ann was in residence at Messiah Village at the time of her passing.
Born and raised in Freeland Pa., she was the last surviving child of James V and Catherine (ODonnell) Malloy.
Ann was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many. She was married to Robert E Bell for 61 years who predeceased her , mother to David Bell and Mary Bell of Camp Hill, Margaret Woodward (Chip) of Etters, and Robert Bell (Leslie) of York. Three children Paul Bell, Ann Louise Bell and Jean Bell predeceased her. Ann was grandmother of seven: Christopher Bell of New Cumberland, Doreen (Don) Sgrinia of McDonough, Ga. Eric (Missy) Thomas of Mechanicsburg, Michelle Hipple of Elizabethtown, Gregory Thomas, Nathan Bell of Camp Hill and Robbie Bell of York and great-grandmother to seven: Chris and Ashley Perhach, Jordan and Layla Hipple of Elizabethtown, Dru and Case Thomas of Mechanicsburg, and Nolan Sgrinia of McDonough Ga. As Matriarch of the Bell and Malloy families, she will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Ann was an active member of St Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland participating in daily mass, CCW and the Little Flower Club.
A registered nurse by profession, Ann was a 25 year retiree of Pa Blue Shield in Camp Hill,PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. J. Michael McFadden, Pastor of St. Theresa of the Little Flower Parish, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA at 11 am on Monday, March 4, 2013. Visitation will be held at the Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 4-6 pm and Monday from 10-10:30 am. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Anns memory to St Theresas Capitol Campaign Fund, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070.
