Anna Mae (Camplese) Russ

Anna Mae (Camplese) Russ, 93, of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Hampden Twp.
She worked 20 years for her father helping him establish his automobile business, Camplese & Son Studebaker-Packard, located in Penbrook, PA. Anna is a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland and was a graduate of Catholic High School (presently Bishop McDevitt), Harrisburg, Class of 1940. Anna was an excellent cook and baker. Family and friends all enjoyed fine meals followed by wonderful pies and cakes and other desserts. She loved hand crafts and was an excellent seamstress creating many beautiful dresses; she also enjoyed doing delicate lace crochet, many lovely afghans, and produced a delightful, very whimsical, menagerie of toy animals and figures, each filled with color and heart, every stitch was a stitch of love she would say.
She was born December 18, 1921 in Harrisburg to the late Paul and Mae Perlean (Mundorf) Camplese. She was married to Peter James Russ (deceased 2012), the love of her life for more than 65 years. She is survived by her son Gregory P. Russ and wife Laura of Cambridge, MA; her daughter Joanne M. Nagle and husband George of Palmyra; a sister Catherine Cipriani of Harrisburg; and five grandchildren: Claire Russ (and husband Todd Duelley), John Russ, Jennie Ann Russ (and fiance Miki Kunitake), James Russ, and Anna Russ. She is also survived by many wonderful nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary E. Lerew (Cowden) and her brother Anthony E. Camplese.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland with the Rev. S.T. Antony Raja as Celebrant. Viewings will be from 5–7 pm Monday evening and 10–10:30 am Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge St. New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
