Anthony Ernst Maas, Jr., of Monroeville died unexpectedly Monday, January 21 2013 at his home in Monroeville, PA.
He had been a Manager of Food Service Operations for Marriott and Sodexo. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and graduated from Trinity High School in 1987. He graduated from Widener University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant Management in 1991. He received his Associate in Special Technology Culinary Arts from Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in 1999. He was a member of Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity.
He was born February 4, 1969 in Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his father Anthony E. Maas, MD.
He was a special person who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother Margaret L. Maas; a brother, Willem F. of Napa, CA; and a sister, Julie E. Reimers of Koln, Germany. He was adored by his five nieces and nephews. Dogs loved Tony. The ashes of his beloved Sam will be buried with him. Miles and Molly are lost without their master. Tony was an excellent chef with soup being his specialty.
Visitation will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 followed by a memorial service at 2pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Johns Cemetery, Shiremanstown.
