Anthony W. Fickes, Sr.

Anthony W. Fickes, Sr., 46, of Etters, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Newberry Twp., York County.

He was a sheet metal mechanic with Nicholas Evanoff Roofing, Harrisburg; a 1988 graduate of East Pennsboro High School; and an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He thoroughly enjoyed his cabin and his canine best friend, “Jack”, but more than anything, he loved his children, grandchildren and family.

Anthony was born in Harrisburg to Russell C. and Claudia (Ridge) Fickes of Etters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Anthony W. Fickes, Jr. of Dover, Kait Christmas of Sanford, FL and Mitchell A. Fickes of Rossville; his girlfriend Elizabeth Read of Etters; siblings, Penny Sachs of Thousand Oaks, CA, Liz Feschuk of Wellsville, Christine Stong of Etters and Scott Fickes of Middletown; and four grandchildren, Jordin Fisher, Krisalynn Fisher, Mason Wayne Fickes and Chance Fickes. He was preceded in death by a grandson Chase Fickes.

Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A viewing will be held from 5:30 pm until time of service Thursday in the funeral home.
