Bonnie L. Miller

February 3, 1938 — August 2, 2020

Bonnie L. Miller, 82, of Camp Hill, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her children and grandkids. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel Frazier, she was born on February 3, 1938 in Marquette, MI.

Bonnie was bright and ambitious, heading to Harper Hospital in Detroit, MI, where she became a registered nurse. She worked for and retired from the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, but her real zest for life started after retirement. She was an independent woman, and she knew what she wanted in life, and she told you what she thought. If you knew anything, you’d shop at Karns, not Giant. She seemingly enjoyed giving waitresses a hard time. And, she was a celebrity in the community (for better or for worse). She was a unanimous hall of fame grandmother, and an all-star every year since she became eligible for the honor. Her biggest joy came from watching her grandkids play sports, achieve goals, and grow into the young people they are today. However, a close second was frequenting Hollywood Casino in Grantville. Or, playing bingo (anywhere). Or, the satisfaction of a scratch-off lottery ticket. Or, her allegiance to Dr. Phil and Fox News. She was authentic and hysterical. She loved to cook, hold court at the kitchen table and drive all over the place in a very memorable van. Her brutal honesty made her a hit with everyone she met, but it was equaled by her care for others. This dichotomy in Bonnie’s personality made her a unique individual who touched many lives and left an impact both within, and outside her family. Her grandkids will miss their biggest supporter and cheerleader. Bonnie will be missed by most.

She’s survived by her children, Jennifer Delaye (husband, PJ) of Camp Hill, Drew Miller of Lewisberry, and Kirsten Penwell (husband, Scott) of Enola; grandchildren, Chloe, Emilie, Maddie, and Max Delaye, Drew Miller Jr, Grayson and Emma Miller, and Jack, Joseph and Benjamin Penwell.

In lieu of flowers, go “all in” for Bonnie, to your charity of choice.
