Carl William Brillhart

Carl William Brillhart, 73, of Etters, passed away Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp., PA.

He was a retired tavern manager for 220 Swiss Chalet, LaPorte, PA, and the Copper Penny Lounge and Elk Grove Inn, both in Benton, PA. He was an avid football and baseball fan and his favorite team was the NY Yankees. He loved observing and interacting with nature, but his greatest love in life was his family.

Carl was born in York, PA to the late Winfield and Eleanor (Nispel) Brillhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Marie Brillhart, brothers, Richard, Robert and Gerald Brillhart, and a granddaughter Jennifer Fongheiser.

He is survived by his wife of more than forty years, Anne L. (Slack) Brillhart; children, Letha Fongheiser and fiancée Jonathan Stitz of West York and Carl W. Brillhart and wife Jennifer of Manchester, PA; stepson, Britton D. Hess and wife Shannon of Benton, PA; eight grandchildren, Justin Brillhart, Nicole Brillhart, Kaitlyn Brillhart, Logan Brillhart, Sarah Fongheiser, Brielle Hess, Brynna Hess and Bryson Hess; two nephews, Michael and David Brillhart; and his buddy, Simon the cat.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
