Catherine L. "Katie" Garrett

Catherine L. “Katie” Garrett, 68, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Hampden Twp. surrounded by her loving family. She fought a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was retired from Butterkrust Baking Co., Harrisburg. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach.

Katie was born in Harrisburg to the late Thomas A. and Roseanne (Rafferty) Casey.

She is survived by her husband of more than forty seven years, Steven P. Garrett; a daughter Sheri L. Drumheller and husband Edward D. of Etters; a brother Thomas A. Casey of Westwood, MA; two sisters, Rosemary Wagaman of Harrisburg and Patricia Casey of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Ethan E. and Jordan G. Drumheller; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Tariq Isaac as Celebrant. Viewings will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday and 10-10:30 am Thursday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
