Catherine (Titus) Potter

December 10, 1925 — March 8, 2021

Catherine (Titus) Potter passed away at age 95 on Monday, March 8, 2021. Born in Malone, New York on December 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rena (Hooper) Titus.

She graduated from St. Francis de Sales in Utica, NY in 1944 and received her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica in 1947. On September 13, 1947 of that year, she and Lawrence E. Potter were married.

She is survived by three of her children, Robert Potter (Gerry) of Stuart, FL, Mary Swenie (Kevin) of Oak Island, NC, and Beth Capron (Dan) of TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Potter Scarangella. She leaves behind six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Catherine was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, and enjoyed participating in the Little Flower Club, bible study and church trips with friends. She was also active with the church’s Council of Catholic Women (CCW) group. She was a member of the West Shore Senior Center, and both the St. Francis de Sales and St. Elizabeth Hospital alumni associations.

Prior to her passing, Catherine was a resident of The Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, where she was cared for by the loving and devoted staff of the Memory Care Neighborhood.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Catherine’s final resting place will be alongside her late husband in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
