Charlene E. Chajkowski

Charlene E. Chajkowski, 93, of New Cumberland, went to heaven to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, where she served as an extraordinary minister for Parish Visitation, was a member of the Little Flower Club and volunteered with the Church's Mercy Services; a member of the Railroad Retirees Club, Harrisburg. Born on June 13, 1925, in Peru, IN, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Christina (Clevenger) Knee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joseph W. Chajkowski, a son, Michael J. Chajkowski and a grandson, Christian M. Gantt.

Surviving are a son, Anthony Chajkowski of New Cumberland; seven daughters, Pauline Sottek of Lancaster, Marie S. Chajkowski of Camp Hill, JoAnn Zucker of Denver, CO, Yolanda M. Edgerton of Ladson, SC, Mary M. Whipple (Donald) of New Cumberland, Katrina M. Chajkowski (Brian Porr) of Camp Hill and Christine J. Baker (Bill Bennett) of New Cumberland; eighteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren, as well as countless others that were touched and influenced by her motherly love.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, July 30 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.

Visitation will be held 3 – 5 PM Sunday, July 29 in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
