Christa E. Boyer

Christa E. Boyer, 76, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 in UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Hampden Twp.

She was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg and a member of the former St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. She was a member of the Keystone Aquatics Club, Harrisburg and a dedicated volunteer at Homeland Center, Harrisburg. Christa loved spending time with her family and friends, crafts, playing pinochle and shopping. She was the Queen of a good bargain.

Christa was born in Harrisburg to the late William and Fairy (Zeigler) Longenecker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. “Bo” Boyer.

She is survived by her sons, David and wife Diane of Harrisburg and Steven and wife Jennifer of Boynton Beach, FL; a brother William Longenecker and wife Sandy of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew and Bryson and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
