Craig L. Rainey

Craig L. Rainey, 62, formerly of Hanover, PA, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 in his residence in Etters, PA.

He was a retired electrician with Sunoco LP, Hanover division and was a graduate of South Carroll High School, Winfield, MD. 

Craig was affectionately known as “Mr. Gadget” because of his love of electronics, gadgets, and anything he could fix or tinker with. He loved spending time with his Life Partner, Sharon Rapak especially when they would take rides on his Kawasaki Side by Side. He enjoyed working around the house and in the yard and found great pleasure in doing his own home improvements. More recently, he helped deliver a litter of kittens and enjoyed every minute of it.

Craig was born in Baltimore, MD, the son of Elise (Blanton) Fox of Etters and the late Joseph L. Rainey.

In addition to his mother Elise and his Life Partner Sharon, Craig is survived by his sister Regina A. “Jean” Shank and fiancé Jack Baker of Finksburg, MD.

A Celebration of Craig’s Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Oakland United Methodist Church, 5901 Mineral Hill Rd., Sykesville, MD 21784.
