Daniel Francis Cobaugh, Jr.

Daniel Francis Cobaugh, Jr., 51, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 in his residence.

He was a locomotive engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad, a former employee of Borders Books Distribution Center, Carlisle and a U.S. Army veteran. Dan was a graduate of Harrisburg High School and enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Dan was born in Harrisburg to Daniel F. and Ruth Ann (Lehr) Cobaugh, Sr. of Lewisberry.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Emily A. Cobaugh, Lea N. Cobaugh and Seth D. Cobaugh, all of Carlisle; three sisters, Brenda Collins of Harrisburg, Karen Hitesman of New Bloomfield and Susan Glover of Lewisberry.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Wormleysburg Church of God, 115 S. Second St. Wormleysburg, PA 17043 with the Rev. Milton S. Brown, Jr. officiating. A visitation with Dan’s family will immediately follow the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Dan’s name to benefit his children. Checks may be made payable to The Cobaugh Children Memorial Fund and mailed to the Seven Gables branch of Orrstown Bank at 1 Giant Lane Carlisle, PA 17013.
