David D. "Ike" Eisenhower

July 15, 1945 — December 23, 2015

David D. "Ike" Eisenhower, 70, of Lower Allen Twp., Lemoyne, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his home.
He was the owner/operator of Gullifty’s Restaurant, Camp Hill; He also was operations manager for Dante’s Restaurants Incorporated for 30 plus years and ran restaurants and pizza shops in the State College and Bellefonte areas. He was a lineman for West Penn Power in the 60’s as well as a line operator for Cerro Metal and Brass. He was a proud member of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill, and a charter member of the Milesburg Assembly of God. Born on July 15th, 1945, he was the son of the late William C. and Gladys E. (Grieb) Eisenhower. Ike was also preceded in death by a son, Keith D. Eisenhower.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Georgette Purnell Eisenhower; three daughters, Lori K. Heffelfinger (William E.) of New Cumberland, Sarah R. Eisenhower of Lemoyne, Elizabeth J. Eisenhower of Lemoyne; four sons, Thaddeus G. (Daina) of New Cumberland, Dwight D. (Jessica) of New Cumberland, Matthew M. (Katherine) of Lemoyne, and Joseph B. (Karina) of Camp Hill; two brothers, Glenn Eisenhower of Austin, AR, and Melvin Eisenhower of Port Jefferson Station, NY; eighteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Ike loved Jesus, his family and his friends. He influenced many and was a key part of the West Shore community for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter and spent many days sitting around telling stories with his friends. He was a hard worker, he loved all and judged no one, offering only encouragement to everyone he met.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 2nd at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill with Pastor Shane Wilson, Pastor Paul Wislocky and the Rev. Philip Bongiorno officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until time of services in the church on Saturday, January 2nd.
