David W. Leonard

David W. Leonard, 86, of New Cumberland, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center, Carlisle.
He retired as an accountant at the Harrisburg News; he was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War; a member of Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; a former president and founder of the Wormleysburg Boat Club and a former president of the Harrisburg Organ Society; a former member and past Tyler of the West Shore Lodge #681, F. & A.M., Camp Hill. He loved music, fishing, hunting and all sports. Mr. Leonard was born on December 2, 1929, in Newport, the son of the late William Leonard and Edna (Rhodes) Kennedy.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Jean E. (Schofield) Leonard; a stepdaughter, Marie Sersch Leonard of New Cumberland; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Marcy Nicholas officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Monday.
