Dennis I. Davis, 73, of Fairview Township, passed away on Saturday, January 16. 2021 at Shippensburg Health Care Center. Son of the late Ira Phillip Davis and M. Lorraine (McElwee) Davis, he was born on February 18, 1947 in Harrisburg.

Denny was a 1966 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill. Upon graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. In 1969, he transitioned from active duty to reservist, where he dedicated his time to his country for many years to follow. He was a plumber by profession, starting at Britton Brothers, New Cumberland, and then at H.A.P.I., Lewisberry. From 1979 until 2004, he owned and operated his own business, Dennis Davis Plumbing. After retiring from plumbing, he spent several years as a bus driver for West Shore (First Student), Bailey Coach, Rohrer, and most recently, Graybill Bus Company. Denny was an outdoorsman; in his prime, he would travel to Slate Run, PA, where he could hunt, fish and relax in all of nature’s beauty. You could find him socializing with his friends at the local American Legion, Guy E. Shelley Jr. Post 784, Fairview Township, where he was a lifelong member. Denny and his family were also longtime members of Fairview Bethel Church of God. He had become a grandfather in the past few years, and enjoyed visits from the grandkids and the occasional family meal at Hoss’s.

Surviving Dennis is his wife of 52 years, Kathryn “Kay” Davis; his daughter and her husband, Johanna and Rob Lucas; and grandchildren, Bill and Ted. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Johanna Davis.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Denny’s name to his church, Fairview Bethel Church of God, 800 Old Forge Road, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
