Donald A. Phillips

Donald A. Phillips, 87, of Bethany Village Mechanicsburg and formerly of Scranton and Harrisburg passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired Personnel Supervisor for Bell Telephone Company; a Navy veteran of both WWII and Korea; a 1945 graduate of Central High School, Scranton; and a 1949 graduate of Yale University. He was a member of Kingston Lodge 395 F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory, AASR; and Zembo Shrine, AAONMS, Harrisburg.
Donald was born in Scranton, PA to the late Frank A. and Pearl (DeWitt) Phillips. He is survived by three cousins, Hazel Fellendorf of Keene, NH, Russell DeWitt of Leesburg, VA and Robert DeWitt of Highland Heights, OH and his close friend Lois Adams of Camp Hill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude and a brother Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Brand W. Eaton officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be at 3 pm on Wednesday in Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp., PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Village Care Assurance Fund, 325 Wesley Drive Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
