Donald C. Singer

Donald C. Singer, 79, of Camp Hill, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, a service of Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, Susquehanna Twp. surrounded by his loving daughters.

He was a retired banker with CCNB and subsequently PNC Bank, New Cumberland and Camp Hill Shopping Center branches with 35 years of service. He was also a realtor with RSR Realtors. Donald was a member of the former Fifth St. United Methodist Church, Harrisburg; and was a member of Robert Burns Lodge 464, F&AM, Harrisburg; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 43, Harrisburg; and Harrisburg Consistory, AASR. He was a 1953 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg. Donald was so proud of his family of all women. He enjoyed fishing and playing the stock market. He held a special place in his heart for his cats and spending time at his “get-away” home in the Pocono Mountains.

Donald was born in Harrisburg to the late Chester and Pauline (Schrauder) Singer and was also preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Joan C. (Good) Singer and a son Donald C. Singer, Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie S. Carbaugh and husband Dan of Middletown and DeDe S. Murtha and husband Paul of Dillsburg; three granddaughters, Allison Janosko and husband Michael, Andrea Biller and husband Matt; and Lauren Eramo; four step grandchildren, Madelyn Murtha, Jesse Carbaugh, Cassie Carbaugh and Rachel Carbaugh; and four very special great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.

The Singer family is extremely grateful for the professional compassion and care received from the doctors, nurses and aides of the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence.
