Donald Earl Arbogast, 78, of Fairview Township, Lewisberry, PA died Friday, June 28, 2019, at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital.
Born in Selinsgrove, PA on November 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Earl C. and Blanche (Walmer) Arbogast. He was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He attended Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove PA before joining the U.S. Marine corps, and was a graduate of the Thompson Institute, Harrisburg, PA where he studied accounting. He was a retired controller for Ryder Truck Rental where he worked in Harrisburg, PA and Norfolk, VA.
He was a long-time resident of Great Bridge in Chesapeake, VA where he was an avid sports fan cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and Penn State. Upon retirement, he moved back to Pennsylvania.
Mr. Arbogast was a quiet, gentle man.
His wife, Kathleen A. (Aikens) Arbogast, with whom he would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 16th, 2019, survives him, along with a daughter, Beth Arbogast Haransky (Michael Haransky) of Springfield, VA; a son, Michael E. Arbogast (Michelle Arbogast) of West Wardsboro, VT; a sister, Irene Fetterman of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Isabelle Florence (Dylan Florence), and a grandson, Sebastian Arbogast; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Margaret Spengler officiating. Entombment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
