Dora Margaret Addams

Dora Margaret Addams, 101, formerly of Lewisberry, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in her residence in Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle.

She was the retired owner-operator of D.M. Addams Custom Framing in New Cumberland. Dora was involved and active even past her 100th birthday and was a member of Soroptimist International of the West Shore, the Embroiderers Guild of America – York White Rose Chapter, and had a life-long love of animals. Additionally, she donated a display wing in the Shippensburg Fashion Archives and Museum where she was also an active volunteer and provided scholarships for students of Shippensburg University.

Dora was born in Putnam, CT, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Heys) Green. In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by a brother Morris William Green and two nephews, David and Daniel Green.

She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Sharon Brunnelson of Germantown, MD, Catherine Soper of Mt. Airy, MD and William Green of LaPlata, MD; numerous grand nieces and nephews; many great grand nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends who will deeply miss her.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
