Doris A. (Hubbard) Hall

January 7, 1925 — July 30, 2021

Doris A. (Hubbard) Hall, 96, formerly of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Ecumenical Retirement Community, Harrisburg. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lois (Auer) Hubbard, born on January 7, 1925 in Lancaster.

Doris was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg; shortly thereafter, she would meet her husband, Bob, and the two would raise a family together in Lower Allen Township. Doris was fun, and kept an orderly and meticulous home. She enjoyed ice skating and dancing as a young lady, and she jumped at any chance to play pinochle with friends and family. She began working when the kids got older, and she would end up retiring from West Shore School District after many years of service on Allen Middle School’s cafeteria staff. Her motto was “family always first,” and this was evident in the way she treated and cared for her husband, children, and extended family alike. She would cheer on her husband at his rec league softball games, and she supported her children and grandkids in all of their endeavors. She and Bob would attend countless Penn State football games throughout the years, and Doris rooted for Tiger Woods on the PGA circuit. Her love of sports paled in comparison to the love she had for her family, and nothing made her light up more than when she was in the company of her grandchildren.

Surviving Doris are her children, Carol Ann Krieg (Eric) of Hummelstown and Wayne Hall of Carlisle; grandchildren, Brian R. Hall of Stamford, CT, Carter and Grant Hall of Carlisle, and Dana Krieg of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Jason Krieg of Middletown; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Hall Sr.; a son, Robert M. Hall Jr.; grandsons, Greg and Bret Megargel; and two brothers, Charles and Raymond Hubbard.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Doris’s final resting place will be alongside her husband in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
