Doris F. Cavanaugh

Doris F. Cavanaugh, 91, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Cumberland died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital.

She was a retired Records and Communications Specialist from the former West Shore Police Records Center, Lower Allen Twp. and previously worked for the former Bell Telephone of PA. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Cumberland where she served as a Sunday school teacher.

She was born May 26, 1927 in New Cumberland to the late William H. and Gertrude (Hagerman) Fetrow. She was the widow of Thomas Cavanaugh after 54 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Terry C. Scully (Ralph) of Naperville, IL and Lori C. Lerew (John) of York Springs, a son Thomas M. Cavanaugh (Karen) of Mechanicsburg; and four grandchildren, Holden and Catherine Scully, Christopher Lerew, and Nathan Cavanaugh.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until funeral services at 10:30am, Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Oak Terrace Room of Bethany Village, 5225 Wilson Lane, Mechanicsburg. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
