Doris Marie (Chabala) Lenkevich

Doris Marie (Chabala) Lenkevich, age 91, formerly of New Cumberland and Camp Hill, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Vibra Life, Upper Allen Twp.

She and her late husband, Steve, resided in New Cumberland for 62 years before moving to the Woods at Cedar Run in 2013. After Steve passed, Doris enjoyed several years at the Woods before moving to Vibra Life in August, 2017. She had a full and productive life. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and its Little Flower Social Club; St. Lawrence Club #13, Steelton; the Capital City Polka Dancers Association, Harrisburg; and the White Rose Polka Club, York. She was a volunteer for West Shore Meals on Wheels and her church. Additionally, she was a homemaker and waitress at several local restaurants.

Doris was the daughter of the late Catherine and Andrew Chabala and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Steve. She is survived by her daughter, Loraine Renshaw, and her husband Doug of Mechanicsburg; and three sons, Thomas and his wife Ellie of Mechanicsburg, Steve and his wife Linda of Harrisburg, and Richard of Mechanicsburg. Doris was one of 10 siblings and is survived by two sisters, Rose Marie Baker of New Cumberland and Helen Fisher of Troy, Michigan; a brother, Andrew Chabala, of Holidaysburg; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland. Viewing will be from 4 to 6 pm Sunday and 10 to 10:30 am Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
