Dorothy Q. “Dot” Mahone, 88, formerly of Louisville, KY and New Cumberland, PA, and Camp Hill, PA died Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., PA.
She was a member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland, it’s Legion of Mary, and the Riverview Golf Club, DDRE, New Cumberland.
Dot was born in Louisville, KY to the late Earl J. and Anna May (Mayer) Quinn.
She was the widow of Colonel Thomas B. Mahone, Jr., U.S.A., Ret. and is survived by two daughters, Dorothy L. Braun and husband Dennis of Lewisberry and Camilla M. Braun and husband David of Pittsburgh; five sons, Thomas E. and wife Mary of Houston, TX, Daniel L. and wife Debb of Mechanicsburg, The Rev. Michael Q. of Reno, NV, Sgt. Maj. Patrick B., U.S.A., Ret. of Romoland, CA and Richard A. and wife Christie of Sparks, NV; a brother Jay Quinn of Louisville; two sisters, Mary D. Quinn and Jeanne Kircher, both of Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in her church with her son, Rev. Michael Q. Mahone and her Pastor, Rev. J. Michael McFadden concelebrating. Viewing will be from 5 – 7 pm on Monday with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp., PA.
Memorial contributions in Dot’s memory may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
