Duane M. Petersen

Duane M. Petersen, 67, of Etters, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer.
He was a retired machinist from both Mack Remanufacturing, Middletown and Caterpillar, York. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, and rarely missed any of his grandsons’ activities.
Duane was born in Clinton, IA to the late Marvin and Evelyn (Kerens) Petersen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Merle.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (Baldwin) Petersen; two daughters, Shannon L. Manderbach-Breeding and husband John of Enola and Kimberly A. Petersen of Missoula, MT; six brothers, David of Kalispell, MT, Mike of Minonk, IL, Daryl of Marshalltown, IA, Gregg of DeWitt, IA, Peter of Clinton, IA and William of DeWitt, IA; a sister Maureen Kreinbring of Clinton, WI; and four grandchildren, Dylan and Ryan Manderbach and Rachel and Sarah Breeding.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm Sunday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Duane’s memory to East Pennsboro Twp. Special Fire Police 230 N. Enola Dr. Enola, PA 17025.
