Earl P. Conley

September 18, 1919 — February 4, 2016

Earl P. Conley, 96, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp.

He was the retired co-owner/operator of Conley’s Home Decorating, Camp Hill and a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of New Cumberland First Church of God and the American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland. He was a HAM Radio operator and was a gifted woodworker.

Earl was born in New Cumberland to the late John P. and Clara (Boyer) Conley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola, Charlotte and Virginia and two brothers, William and Leonard.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 73 years, Florence (Metz) Conley; his daughter Nancy C. Thomas of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in New Cumberland First Church of God, Fourth and Reno Sts. New Cumberland with the Rev. Charles Zahora, his pastor officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Earl’s name to his church at the above address or to the donor’s charity of choice.
