Edna M. Spahr

November 9, 1935 — July 13, 2020

Edna M. Spahr, 84, formerly of Etters and a resident of Country Meadows of West Shore, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 in Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She was a retired insurance auditor with Blue Shield. She attended Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill where she was an active volunteer with the church food bank and a greeter. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Steadfast Chapter # 479, Camp Hill; the Federation of Dolls; the Colonial York Doll Club; and a charter member of the “Ten Pins” bowling team at Red Crown Bowling Alley, Harrisburg. Later in life she bowled at Trindle Bowl, Mechanicsburg. Edna enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was born in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Bathia Swenson. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband Cloyd H. Spahr and a son Richard Allen Spahr.

She is survived by her sister Mildred Swenson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, Edna will be greatly missed by her “adopted family” of 59 years to whom she was fondly known as “Granny Edna”.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. Attendees MUST wear masks and practice social distancing. If unable to attend, please click the "Tribute Wall" tab to access Edna's graveside webcast.
