Edward E. Richards

Edward E. Richards, 83, of The Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, formerly of Warminster died February 21st at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA.

He was born September 15th, 1929 in New Britain, CT to the late Felix and Stefania Rzepnicki.He was preceded in death by his brother Wallace Rzepnicki of New Britain, CT and by his eldest son Stephen Richards of Perkasie.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Marge) L. (Shute) Richards, a son Donald (and wife Christine) of West Melbourne, FL; daughter Linda Schettini (and husband Frank) of Mechanicsburg; and five beloved grandchildren Michael, Thomas, Melanie, Jessica, and Lisa.

Ed graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952 with a degree in Chemistry, with honors, and married Marge in 1953. He and his wife lived in the Philadelphia area initially before moving to Warminster where they raised their family and lived for 51 years before moving to the Mechanicsburg area. Ed enjoyed a long career as a Chemical and Manufacturing Engineer in the Aerospace Industry, working for Boeing Vertol in Philadelphia and retiring in 1992 from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT. During his retirement he truly enjoyed all the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road in Warminster on March 9th at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Eds name to the Messiah Village Endowment Fund, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, P.O. Box 2015, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
