Frank A. Mosher

Frank Arthur Mosher, 94, of Mechanicsburg, PA and formerly of 93 Carol Street, New Cumberland, passed away August 29th of 2018 at Bethany Village.

Frank grew up on Simpson Ferry Road, Mechanicsburg, and graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1941. He enlisted in the Army and served in the Pacific during WWII. In 1947 he met and married Virginia “Ginny” Barnhill. In the 1950’s he took over the family business, Security Savings Systems Inc in New Cumberland. Founded by his father in 1930, Frank grew the struggling company into a successful business. He served as President for nearly 50 years and was the CEO of the company until his death. During his lifetime he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Chairman of the New Cumberland Zoning Hearing Board for 16 years. Frank was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church for over 50 years before moving to Mechanicsburg in 2008 and joining St. Joseph. He was a long-time member and past President of the West Shore Country Club. He loved to travel, golf, and spend time with friends.

He was son to Frank Arthur Sr. and Marie (Russ) Mosher. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Ginny, his sisters Rita and Lucy, and his grandson David. He is survived by his children, Anne Mosher Corbin and husband David C. of Woodbridge, VA; Paul M. Mosher and wife Jean M. of Camp Hill; Eileen Mosher and husband Robert C. Freeby of University Place, WA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 4th at Parthemore Funeral Home in New Cumberland. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 on Wednesday, September 5th in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 East Simpson St. Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Township.
