Gertrude Betty Bennett

Gertrude Betty Bennett, 90, formerly of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was a member of the former St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Harrisburg; a former member of Red Land Senior Center, Etters; attended worship at Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church and enjoyed playing Bingo. Born on October 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Gottshall Sr. and Virgie V. (Shearer) Gottshall. She was the widow of John R. Bennett and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey A. Good, a brother, Charles E. Gottshall Jr. and a sister, Thelma L. Martin.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna J. Good (Robert A.) of Etters; a grandson, Robert W. Good (Cathy); two great grandchildren, Adam J. and Heather V. Good.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the Chapel at Messiah Village, with the Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the chapel.
