Gilbert G. "Gil" Eichelberger

Gilbert G. "Gil" Eichelberger, 65, of Washington Twp., Wellsville, died Wednesday, December 17, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.
He retired as a self-employed appliance technician. Gil had a love of the outdoors including camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, 4-wheeling and white water rafting; particularly when he was able to do these activities with his family and friends. Gil also enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and recently had the opportunity to drive a Stock Car at Pocono Raceway. He was born on May 24, 1950 in Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys E. Topper and two brothers, Eugene and Terry.
Surviving are his wife, Marian Stoup; two daughters, Stephanie Lightfoot and husband, Shawn of Etters, and Jennifer Corkle of Lewisberry; a brother, Dwight Topper and wife, Pamela of Lewisberry; three grandchildren, Cory and Kyle Lightfoot, and Marley Corkle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Brand W. Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be held 5 – 7 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
