Harold W. "Hal" Edquist

October 23, 1933 — October 1, 2018

Harold W. "Hal" Edquist, 84 of New Cumberland, PA passed away on Monday,
October 1, 2018 in Manor Care, Camp Hill, PA.

He was a marketing manager for Hazeltine Corporation on Long lsland, NY and then Braintree, MA and then lent his talents to Bendix Corp. (which later became Allied Signal then Raytheon) in Towson, MD.

Hal was a Navy veteran of the Korean War; a graduate of Milwaukee School of
Engineering, Milwaukee, WI; a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and
its choir, Camp Hill, PA; and was extremely gifted in that he could build or fix just
about anything and all the neighbors knew where to go if they needed to
borrow a tool because he had 'em all!

Hal was born in Aitkin, MN to the late Walter Reuben and Sarah Alice (Hawley) Edquist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step daughter Patricia Smith Mendson.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jayne (McGregor) Smith Mentzer Edquist; two daughters, Sharon Edquist of East Sandwich, MA and Diane Kahler of Nottingham, MD; four stepchildren, Stephen Smith of NY, Michael Smith of Harrisburg, PA, Karen Mentzer of NC and Leslie Kendrick of NC; and twelve grandchildren, Adam, Maddie, Logan, Janelle, Nicole, Hunter, Sydnee, Tanner, Justin, Marcus, Brandon and Michael.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial with military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.
