Helen A. Miller

Helen A. Miller, 85, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.

She was a retired Supervisor with Capitol Products, Mechanicsburg and worked for more than 30 years at the former Julie’s Café and Nick’s 114 Café in New Cumberland. She was a former member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, a lifetime member of the New Cumberland VFW, and was active with various veterans’ organizations including chaperoning bus trips. She was ALWAYS busy; golfing, bowling, traveling, and bird watching. But more than anything, she loved spending time with her family – especially her grandkids.

Helen was born in Watts Twp., Perry County, the daughter of the late Reuben and Dorothy (Wright) Rhodes, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Page, brother Reuben Rhodes, Jr. and was the widower of William H. Miller, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Connie Williams and John Shaffer; siblings, Gene Rhodes (Betty), Paul Rhodes (Judy), Larry Rhodes, Mike Rhodes (Holly) and Reita Wilson (John); seven granddaughters; eighteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service time Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
