Henry John "Hank" Scholz

Henry John “Hank” Scholz, 91, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired Service Manager for Ingersoll-Rand, Lewisberry, a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and a graduate of New Cumberland High School. Hank was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland where he served as an Extraordinary Minister and Sacristan; a 26 year volunteer with Holy Spirit Hospital where he earned the President’s Award for Service; a former St. Theresa Midget Football coach; and a 25 year “Man of Malvern”.
Hank was born in Pittsburgh to the late Edward T. and Irene (Geary) Scholz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary (Hill) Scholz, sons, David E. and John P., and a grandson J. Tyler Lefevre.
He is survived by his children, Carol A. Markel and husband Richard of Mechanicsburg, Mary Sue Lefevre and husband John of Conestoga, PA, Thomas H. and wife Maureen of Bear, DE, Donald R. and wife Joanna of Plymouth Meeting, PA and James P. and wife Elaine B. of Mechanicsburg; daughter in law Elaine M. Scholz of Newark, DE; grandchildren, Heather, Don, Joseph, Mary P., Hilary, Mary E., Christopher, Ryan, Megan, Ava and Julia; and two great grandsons, Chase Markel and Jason Scholz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, May 16, 2014 in his church with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden, his Pastor as Celebrant. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 am Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, W. Hanover Twp., PA.
