Ivan A. Seele, Jr.

January 29, 1940 — March 6, 2018

Ivan August Seele, Jr., 78, of Fairview Twp., Etters, passed softly into the arms of his Lord on Tuesday, March 06, 2018, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence.

Ivan was a kind and gentle man with a deep devotion to his family. He leaves behind his ex-wife and close friend, Ginger Costabile-Seele and their four children, Ivan A. Seele, III and his wife Stefanie of Kennett Square, Philip T. Seele and his wife, Carlee of New Cumberland, Jonathon R. Seele of Etters and his daughter Coreen E. Seele of Costilla, New Mexico. Ivan is also survived by six grandchildren, Jacob, Gavin, Mia, Cooper, Jaden and Samantha in addition to his sisters, Gloria-Jean Mercer and Stephanie-Renee Shaffer.

Ivan’s family includes his father-in-law, the late Philip Costabile, his mother-in-law, Angela Costabile and six brothers and sisters, Vinnie, Rocco, Frank, Wayne, the late Philip and David Costabile and twelve nieces and nephews.

Born on January 29, 1940, in Rockford, IL, to the late Ivan A., Sr. and Susan (Brown) Seele, Ivan was a graduate of Rockford High School and the University of Illinois after which he immediately joined Emerson Electric Corporation. His personality, work abilities and his prowess as a scratch golfer quickly earned him the title of “Golden Boy”. While in pursuit of his professional life, Ivan and Ginger were married and started their family. During that time, he represented Emerson with the United States Department of Naval Intelligence during the Vietnam War. His vision for a better future for his family took him to Harrisburg in 1968, where he worked alongside Philip Costabile and sons. building the framework of PAC Industries, a family business still headquartered in Harrisburg. In the later part of his career Ivan was the top Salesman, manager and trainer for Westchester Modular Homes. Throughout his life he continued to golf, to build, and to find joy in being around water as a boater and avid fisherman.

Ivan will be missed and so we grieve, but we rejoice in the memories of a lifetime stored in the corners of our mind.
